Welcome to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. If you're reading this message, chances are that you are using a browser that does not support current standards for Hypertext Markup Language and Cascading Style Sheets. Chances also are that the site doesn't look like there's much design going on. The reason for this is that this site was designed and built with modern standards for markup and presentation. The markup is presented in XHTML, which you are now reading. The presentation is handled by an imported Cascading Style Sheet. If your browser does not support modern web standards, you will not be able to view the presentation, but will still be able to view the content.
If you typically view web sites with a graphical web browser such as Netscape, you may want to upgrade to one of the many freely available, standards-compliant browsers. We have some listed here, in alphabetical order:

We now have 274,176. We met our original goal of 17,500 in less than two weeks. We revised the goal to 50,000 signatures and exceeded that in three weeks. Now, we have surpassed 265,000 signatures and will keep going! We've presented over 265,000 signatures to the recent (March 29)hearing with Senator Brownback and his Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Right, and Property Rights. We will continue the online petition for those of you who wish to sign, and may present the petition again, in the future. Click here to read action updates and letters! March 29- Public Hearing on Video Game Violence In response to a notice from game manufacturer Eidos, that the "25 to Life"© video game was being shipped to U.S. markets beginning January 17, the NLEOMF is mounting a vigorous campaign to discourage parents and caregivers from purchasing or allowing children access to the violent video game. We are gravely alarmed by the violent nature of this game and believe that any type of media that glorifies violence against law enforcement or civilians should be carefully scrutinized. Petition: SIGN HERE: Contact Eidos directly at pr@eidos.com . Tell a Friend! (click here) Send a quick message to five of your friends and family, so they can also sign our petition. A simple petition isn't enough. We encourage people to contact their legislatorsand to contact the company. The public has the right — and here we have an opportunity — to express our disapproval of this game and the companies behind it. A public hearing is scheduled on March 29. Click here for info.
