OFFICER MAURICE BARRY New York/New Jersey Port Authority September 11, 2001, wasn't the first time Officer Maurice Barry ran into the burning World trade Center while others ran out in fear. He was there to help victims the first time the landmark towers were struck by terrorists, in 1993. It was his day off. This hero died the way he lived, helping people out of the burning towers until the very end. He was a loving husband and devoted father of two grown sons, Jon and Christian. Jon had joined the Army Reserves at his father's encouragement. "I think about what happened to my dad," he said. "I want to go.
